It’s simple…electric water heaters have no flame, no combustion gases, no harmful exhaust fumes.

Cooperative members can have a safe, electric water heater with no installation or service costs for as little as $11 a month using our Marathon Water Heater Lease Program. (50-gallon or less) You can also choose between an 85-gallon Marathon for $14 per month and 105-gallon for $16 per month.

There is a minimum lease period of 12 months. A member may buy-out of the lease at any time for a depreciated price of the water heater plus installation costs. A Marathon electric water heater may also be installed in place of a propane water heater, with Mississippi County Electric covering the cost of basic wiring.*

*The member will be responsible for the cost of plumbing or wiring that is over and above what would normally be required to install the water heater.
